Virtual Light Festival

In 2021, Stefan Kainbacher and his collective NEON GOLDEN presented an audiovisual space installation in the Bregenz offspace DWDS. This was a space-specific and unique pulsating light installation, which consisted of 40 LED steles arranged in a grid, which were individually animated and thus were the light show of this installation, which were complemented by specially composed sound.

GRID was an immersive and unique light installation, which was also created as an NFT due to the developments on the art market at that time. At the insistence of the curator at the time, Leon Boch, the implementation of this work as an NFT was also intended to create added value. Kainbacher's result was the possibility to experience this installation as a VR experience, which is placed on a fictional Martian landscape. GRID ON MARS thus represents the interface now between the work poles presented in the Metaverse and the actual origin GRID, 2021.

In a version now newly adapted in form and content to the Vaduz Light Festival - Virtual Edition, this transformation of an already hybrid existing object to an object that is located between reality and virtual reality also took place here.

Neon Golden

The digital art and light artist Stefan Kainbacher is the founder of the collective Neon Golden and has his roots in the international club scene. As in the club scene, the artist combines light and sound in his installations to create synergetic, audiovisual impulses. He transfers sensory experiences into art and creates spheric, audiovisual worlds for immersion.
