Vaduz Light Festival 2023 will not take place

In view of the current discussions on the energy crisis and the associated austerity measures, it was decided in consultation with the municipality of Vaduz against holding the Vaduz Light Festival 2023. 

The organizers had a hard time with the decision, because the planning has been going on for months. Above all, it is a symbol of solidarity towards the residents:inside, which is important for the festival management. "We are a festival for Liechtensteiners and we also want to show solidarity towards our fellow citizens," says Romy Abbrederis, director of the festival. Thus, a focus on energy and sustainability was planned for the Vaduz Light Festival 2023, which will now be implemented in 2024. 

Energy use will be the big topic of the future. Together with artists, the Vaduz Light Festival will strive for further optimization potential in order to further reduce the use of electricity.
